  12.   Well after about 3 weeks of John, (Apple Bandit) selling his BBS program
  13. called Apple-Net, I got so sick of these Ruggie-BBS's running of it!  Mines
  14. running off of it, but it's not a ruggie BBS either.

  16.   Well I bet you feel the same way about it as me, so I whipped together this
  17. little file on how to 'hang' it or log- on as sumone else, and read all their
  18. mail!  (It's alot of phun logging on as the sysop and reading and replying to
  19. all the mail) (hehehe!!)

  21.   Since you're probably getting sick of all the stuff above, lets get down to
  22. business.  Here are all the 'hangs' I've found and how to make them work:

  24.   1) Log-on as a new-user (so the sysop doesn't know who you are).  Then when
  25. you get the main command prompt, enter this:  99E99
  26.  
  27.   Now that in itself doesn't do it, but if you do it about 10-30 times, it
  28. should just sit there and wait for the sysop to boot up the whole system.

  30.   2) When you log-on and it asks for your password enter this:    99E99
  31.  
  32.   then it should say sumthing like
  33.  
  34.   this:

  36.   (Please Insert Data Disks & hit a Key.)
  37.  
  38.  
  39.   Then it'll wait for the sysop to come around and hit a key.

  41.   3) Also when it asks for a password, enter this:  -1bahahaha and it will also
  42. hang, but this one won't let the sysop know it's 'hung' if he's passing by, cuz
  43. it justs sits there..

  45.   Now this is the fun part!  By doing this you can log-on as any user but you
  46. won't get the same access as s/he had.

  48.   Follow these easy steps:

  51.   1) Call up the BBS and log-on as a new user
  52.  
  53.   2) Enter in the name of a person that you know is on the bbs on one line like:
  54. 1st name->JOE BLOW 2nd name->
  55.  
  56.   -or- just type in a few spaces at the end of the name.
  57.  
  58.   3) Then get on the system as a new-user and *not* a guest!
  59.  
  60.   4) Now you can read all the e-mail the guy had.  And if you're smart, and
  61. didn't use the sysop's name, do this:
  62.  
  63.   5) Chat with the sysop telling him your password and name aren't on the
  64. system.  Then he'll probably validate you and stuff.  (hehe) Now you have the
  65. guy's access and name on the system, so you can read his e-mail any time and
  66. post msg's with his name!!

  68.   Here are some of the new ones I've found:

  70.   1) Log on as a new-user and use a name with a @ in front of it.  Now every
  71. message you post will be anonymous!

  75.   Heres a great one!  Will work on all versions of Apple-Net!

  78.   1) Go to the upload section.
  79.  
  80.   2) Now type this:  hi!$$$
  81.  
  82.   3) Say you want to save the file and save the name like this:

  85.  "name",S(a #0-7),D(a #1-2),V(a #0-254)
  86.  
  87.   By doing that, the computer will save the file to that slot,drive, and volume!
  88. You can also try to save to a slot that has nothing in it, or a non-disk
  89. controller, and it will hang it!
