- The Trachodon is a very common
- North American herbivore from the
- Cretaceous period.
- This duckbill had three webbed,
- hooved toes on its hind feet and its
- hands had three hooved and one plain
- finger. Fossilized imprints of
- Trachodons indicate that their skin
- was covered with small scales.
- Trachodon grew to a length of
- thirty feet and stood eighteen feet
- tall.
- Related duckbills have been found
- in Europe and Asia.^
