- The name Struthiomimus means
- "Ostrich Imitator." Also known as
- Ornithomimus ("Bird-Mimic"), this
- dinosaur was named for its marked
- similarity to the ostrich. It stood
- eight feet tall and had no teeth in
- its jaws, which were probably
- covered with a horny bill.
- Struthiomimus lived in North
- America about 75 million years ago
- and probably ate mostly eggs.^
