Attention Readers: There was a problem with Financial Wizard on G-S #15. (No kidding, most of you are saying to yourself.) We have fixed the problem by remastering the disk, as well as, shipping System 5.0.4 with it. If you have not received a replacement and wish to use Financial Wizard, please call the technical support line at 1-318-221-5134.
I would love to see more educational material instead of Jukebox, which is not very useful. Not everyone can use the add-on's for Mean 18 or Arkanoid. I love the standalone features--ex. Reflexion.
I would like to see some educational games especially in the subject of science. Perhaps you could find something on human anatomy. I enjoyed some of your games. Reflexion is great but how about Scrabble or Wheel of Fortune? Also, where did the NDA & DA's go? I enjoy seeing them.
As a parent, I encourage my children to learn and use the computer as a tool. Our GS is a productivity tool that is easy to use, learn, and master. Whether they are doing a MathBlaster drill, Designasaurus scenario, or chasing the elusive Carmen, they are having fun while they are learning. Recreation is just as important and watching them learn while they are seriously having fun makes the purchase worth every cent. Your balanced mix of productivity and fun has been great. Keep up the good work. Spencer's Pages are worth every cent you pay for them.
I really enjoy receiving my Softdisk issue every month. I use Appleworks 3.0 for gradebooks, tests, unit plans, etc. I use PublishIt 3.0 to put out our school paper, which is why I like your graphics and fonts. We enjoy arcade style games more than role-playing. Star Axe is Great!
I basically agree with your comments in G-Essence. I am tired of the whining and wailing about Apple's failure to support the GS. Talk positively about what the other companies are doing to fulfill the GS's potential. Games, Mean 18 courses, and Arkanoid sets are a bore. Give us more and better DA's and applications. Emphasize utility and uniqueness. Love the fonts and Spencer's Pages.
At last, I've been able to complete Dark Designs I with your patch. DDII is now over, too. I'm waiting for DDIII; hope it'll be better that DDII which is already better than DDI. Congratulations on a good job! I'll be glad to see your "Reviews" column back.
The Jukebox music sounds great but I think the tunes are rotten. I much prefer tunes that I recognize. Roaring 20's, 19th century Gaslight, Classical, Bluegrass, campfire songs, and saloon tunes would be great. How about an improvement to allow more than 3 songs in the Jukebox?
