  1. Welcome to WinModem-Plus V 1.00
  2.  
  3. This version of WinModem-Plus requires at least Windows 3.1 and
  4. you must be using a computer that has at least an 80386
  5. processor.

  7. If you are upgrading from a previous WinModem version, we recommend
  8. that you first remove the old version of WinModem.  It is NOT necessary
  9. to remove the WinModem Icon from Windows desktop, if you left the icon
  10. in the applications group AND you install WinModem in the same
  11. directory you used for version the older version.

  13. To complete the installation of WinModem, you must first be running
  14. Windows 3.1.
  15.  
  16. If you extracted the WinModem files to a diskette, run A:SETUP from the
  17. Windows Program Manager, where A: is the designation for your diskette
  18. drive.  If you have more than 1 diskette drive, you may have to
  19. substitute a different drive letter for your diskette drive.

  21. If you extracted the WinModem files to a subdirectory on your hard
  22. disk, then Run C:\subdir\SETUP, where subdir is the name of the
  23. subdirectory that contains the distribution files.  However, if you are
  24. going to install WinModem in this fashion, please do not attempt to
  25. install the application in the same subdirectory as the distribution
  26. files.

  28. By default, Setup will install the WinModem application in a directory
  29. called WinModem. You may change the directory name during the
  30. installation process.
