- This file containes some information about the CERES Composer 2.1.
-
- The files, this file is bundled with, are an evaluation version for
- english speaking people. That means it is NOT the true english version of
- the Composer. This version comes with translated menus and dialogs but the
- help file and the manual is still german. The REAL english version will be
- launched, if we find enough people and/or companies who want to distribute
- our products in their countries.
-
- If you are interessted in distributing please contact us via

- Now some detail on the CERES Composer.
-
- The Composer supports all Soundblaster or Adlib compatible Soundcards. A
- soundfile contains 32 tracks and you can set the tracks for mono and stereo
- output differently. The player programs (JUKEBOX.EXE for Windows and PLAYSND.
- EXE for DOS) recognize the type of the soundcard, they are running on, auto-
- matically. This provides you with the great chance to set your music for mono
- and stereo in one soundfile. That means is sounds great when played on a
- stereo card and not too bad on a mono.
-
- The Composer uses the sequencer notation for displaying and editing music. But
- is has no MIDI-Interface just now.
-
- Every soundfile has an associated bankfile. That means the soundfile contains
- the name of the bankfile, where the instruments are stored, which the player
- program should use when playing the soundfile.
-
- A bankfile consists of 128 not necessaryly different instruments.
-
- The rest of the composers functions should be self explaining. If not, please
- feel free to ask me ...
-
-
- P.S.: I translated the german word 'Stimme' with track, but on the graphic
- buttons are still some german words.
