  3. Welcome to the world of CLOCK WERKS. The CLOCK WERKS enables you to:

  5. (1) Concurrently display time of cities around the world using 
  6.     true-clock-appearance display.
  7.  
  8. (2) Concurrently display up to 50 clocks for each activation 
  9.     of the application.
  10.  
  11. (3) Display hundreds of clocks by multiple activations of the application.
  12.  
  13. (4) Display clock face as analog, digital, or user-created bitmap.
  14.  
  15. (5) Independently select each clock's display style.
  16.  
  17. (6) Independently customize each clock's color attributes.
  18.  
  19. (7) Select from more than 100 cities in the database. Add you own!

  26. Hardware requirements: IBM PC or Compatible.

  28. Software Requirements: Microsoft Windows (TM) 3.1.
  29.                        or IBM OS/2 v2.0 above running windows

  32. ================== Installing CLOCK WERKS ====================
  33.  
  34. From DOS Prompt:
  35.  
  36. (1) create subdirectory WCLOCKS in C:\WINDOWS, by using the 
  37.     following commands:
  38.  
  39.     C:\>cd c:\windows
  40.     C:\WINDOWS\>md WCLOCKS
  41.  
  42. (2) insert diskette in A: drive
  43. (3) copy all files in A: to C:\WINDOWS\WCLOCKS by using 
  44.     the following command:
  45.  
  46.     COPY A:*.* C:\WINDOWS\WCLOCKS
  47.  
  48. (4) Start Windows(TM) 3.1. Open "Accessories" group. 
  49.  
  50. (5) Select FILE, then NEW to create a new program item.
  51.  
  52. (6) Supply the following information:
  53.  
  54.     Description: CLOCK WERKS
  55.     Command Line: C:\WINDOWS\WCLOCKS\WCLOCKS.EXE
  56.     Working Directory: C:\WINDOWS\WCLOCKS
  57.  
  58. (7) Push OK button to create the program item.
  59.  
  60. (8) Use CLOCK WERKS the same way as other Windows (TM) applications.

  84. The CLOCK WERKS is shareware and can be downloaded from 
  85. COMPUSERV. User must register CLOCK WERKS after the 30-day 
  86. trial period. In order to do so, the user must first contact MAGMA 
  87. CONCEPTS and provide the following items:
  88.  
  89. Registration fee of    $19.95.
  90.  
  91. Serial Number displayed under HELP|ABOUT.
  92. User's Name.
  93. Company Name.(if applicable)
  94. Address.

  107. MAGMA CONCEPTS will FAX back a REGISTRATION Number, 
  108. which user enters into CLOCK WERKS database by using 
  109. HELP|REGISTRATION withing the application.

  111. Registered users will receive the registered version on diskette. By 
  112. default, 3 1/2 high density diskette will be used to ship the software. The 
  113. user can choose from 3 1/2 720K, 3 1/2 1.44M, 5 1/4 360K, or 5 1/4 1.2M. 
  114. Since all documentation is provided on-line, no owner manual is offered 
  115. unless requested by users. Registered users will also receive notice about 
  116. product upgrade information and new products from MAGMA CONCEPTS.

  120. possible.

  123. ============= Unregistered Version vs. Registered Version =========
  124.  
  125. Instead of providing a restricted version of CLOCK WERKS, the 
  126. unregistered version is almost identical to the Registered version 
  127. during the 30-day trial period, except once registered with proper 
  128. information entered, the HELP|ABOUT will show the correct user 
  129. registration information and the title bar only displays CLOCK WERKS. 
  130.     
  131. If after the 30-day trial period the user decides not to register CLOCK 
  132. WERKS, the number of clocks that can be displayed becomes two, the 
  133. title bar will indicate the expired condition, and the application can be run 
  134. only once. All other features remain unchanged.
