  11.     As most programs are, AIBB is a continuing effort on my part, and
  12. I do hope to continue working on this as long as interest exists for
  13. it.  Below is a list of possible future changes to be introduced into AIBB
  14. in future versions:

  17.     -- In-line coded 68040 FPU tests.  These will allow comparisons of
  18.        68040-based systems with code which is more tailored to take
  19.        advantage of the 68040's built-in FPU, which differs from the
  20.        68881/68882 FPU components used predominantly in 68020/68030
  21.        systems.

  23.     -- An interface change.  A fact which has been getting at me is
  24.        the use of a 16-color screen for AIBB's presentation.  I plan
  25.        to change this some time in the future to an interface which
  26.        can accomodate screen/system types other than that which is
  27.        the 'default' for most Amigas.  This will most likely involve
  28.        the reduction of the number of colors to a maximum of 8 as
  29.        I also would like to reduce AIBB's use of memory resources and
  30.        DMA time on the CHIP RAM bus.

  32.     -- A few other test are in the works which will hopefully be more
  33.        telling of a system's performance levels.  I will implement these
  34.        if they prove to be advantageous in system testing.

  36.     -- I hope to get AIBB such that it can more thoroughly examine a
  37.        system and report its findings more accurately.  As of now, AIBB
  38.        is fairly determinate in what information it does display, but
  39.        the information it gives is not the complete picture.  A more
  40.        full overview would probably be useful in performing tests as
  41.        a better view of the system as a whole could be obtained without
  42.        having to resort to external checking methods.
