  7. This note is attached to  mathplotter.lzh  and  new3d.lzh archives and MUST
  8. stay with the archives if you redistribute  these archives (feel free to do
  9. so to as many places as possible).

  11. THESE ARCHIVES CONTAIN THE  SOFTWARE  PRODUCTS  MARK'S  MATHPLOTTERV2.0 AND
  12. NEW3D RESPECTIVELY.  THESE  ARE  DESCRIBED  BELOW  BRIEFLY AND IN DETAIL IN
  13. THEIR HELP FILES.  BOTH ARE CRIPPLED VERSIONS  OF THE REAL THING.  THE ONLY
  14. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SHAREWARE  VERSIONS  AND  THE REAL THING IS THAT THE
  15. FUNCTION PARSER ONLY RECOGNIZES  THE  TOKENS:  X,  Y, (, ), +, -, *, SIN(),
  16. SQR(), AND ANY CONSTANT.  THEREFORE  THIS  WILL GIVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO
  17. SEE IF YOU WOULD LIKE  THE  OFFICIAL  VERSIONS  OF  MATHPLOTTERV2.0  AND/OR
  18. NEW3D.   TO  MY  KNOWLEDGE,  THIS   REPRESENTS  THE  MOST  DIVERSE  SET  OF
  19. MATHEMATICAL TOOLS UNDER ONE PACKAGE FOR THE AMIGA THAT I HAVE SEEN.

  33. Mathplotter.lzh contains all  the  files  for  the  software product called
  34. Mark's  MathPlotterV2.0.   Briefly,  it  is  a  toolbox of various function
  35. plotting tools.  With it you can  draw  graphs of functions of one variable
  36. in Cartesian or Polar  coordinates,  draw  wire  frame solids of revolution
  37. (done in calculus classes) with  either  one  or two curves, draw graphs of
  38. functions of two variables with or without hidden surface removal, and plot
  39. tables of values for  functions  of  one  and  two  variables.   Originally
  40. designed for demonstrations  in  my  college  lectures,  it  can be used by
  41. anyone with at least a  background  in  algebra  or trigonometry.  For more
  42. details see the help file included in the archive.

  44. NEW3D.lzh contains all the files for  the  new  software product NEW3D.  It
  45. specializes in drawing accurate  graphs  of functions in two variables with
  46. perspective, orthographic, and contour map drawing modes.  The graph can be
  47. view  from  any  angle  as   well.    A  background  in  advanced  algebra,
  48. trigonometry, and/or calculus is  helpful.   For  more details see the help
  49. file included in the archive.

  51. PLEASE REDISTRIBUTE THE ARCHIVES WITH ALL  THEIR FILES TO AS MANY PLACES AS
  52. POSSIBLE.  THERE ARE PROBABLY MANY AMIGA  USERS WHO COULD USE SUCH TOOLS AS
  53. THESE, AND THIS WOULD HELP PROMOTE THE AMIGA IN THE EDUCATIONAL MARKET.
