- PublicService - A Unique Screen Clock
-
- Tired of clocks which merely tell the time? If you're an office worker with
- a union (like our Australian Public Servants) you know that the most
- important thing in your day is the break, smoko, whatever you want to call
- it. This clock will inform you exactly how much longer you must stare out
- the window (or do whatever you're paid to do) until that all-important
- break arrives. If it should catch you at your Amiga outside office hours or
- during a break, you will be suitably admonished (the next version will
- report you to your union!)
-
- All times are contained in the data file PublicService.dat - the example
- here should be modified and copied to s:. The file format is:
-
- S start time
- M morning tea start and finish
- L lunch start and finish
- A afternoon tea start and finish
- Q quitting time
-
- If the terms "morning tea" and "afternoon tea" are unfamiliar to you, I'm
- sorry. You can either:
- - Edit the text in the program
- - Acquire some Australian/English culture!
-
- Although the window is completely overwritten by the text, it does in fact
- have a close gadget on the extreme left.
