  10. -modem will now initialize at 1200 baud. Previously was at 4800 (I don't know

  15.       Opening - No changes.

  17.  Appointments - Auto searches for appointments on disk when first loading or
  18.                 when moving from month to month or year to year. Removed Find
  19.                 Appt. due to this change.
  20.               - Scrollable appointment window. Now enables full 24 hour period.
  21.               - FP in lower right-hand corner of appointment window will give
  22.                 you full page mode when clicked.
  23.               - HP in lower right-hand corner of full page will return you to
  24.                 half page mode when clicked.

  26.        ToDo's - Whole new interface.
  27.               - Database-type format.
  28.               - Entering a number in the first field, Priority # and Lead Line,
  29.                 will allow for prioritizing list. List will be automatically
  30.                 sorted according to this number.

  33.                 button to the right of diia button.
  34.               - Added large, scrollable notes area for each ToDo entry.

  77.               - The S or R button will make a small window appear in the upper
  78.                 menu bar. This will allow you to enter the text of your choice.
  79.                 To clear this from the screen, just click your Right mouse button.
  80.               - When the Search and Replace window appears and you have entered
  81.                 your chosen text, clicking the word Replace willl continue to do
  82.                 one Replace function at a time. The same is true for the Search
  83.                 procedure. Choosing G will do a complete global replace in the
  84.                 document. This is NOT case sensitive.
  85.               - Editing functions added (a few);
  86.                  Control - C = copy the current line cursor is on
  87.                  Control - I = inserts current line in buffer to line cursor is on
  88.                  Control - DEL = Deletes current line cursor is on.

  90. Overall changes
  91. ---------------

  93. - All Help screens can be exited by hitting the spacebar or clicking the screen
  94.   with the left mouse button.
  95. - All print features are now enabled in the 'Demo' version.
  96. - All print output has a better 'form' look to it with proper headings and
  97.   column structure.
  98. - Control - DEL key combination will delete characters to the right of cursor til
  99.   the end of the line. This ONLY works in document windows. Also ONLY works in
  100.   Full Page mode of Appointments.
  101. - Tried to fix up memory management but a 1 meg Agnus and 1 meg of memory is
  102.   still needed. Sorry but this has to do with the use of so many Hi-Res screens.
  103.   I highly recommend users to get the 1 meg Agnus installed. It will prove useful
  104.   for many other programs as well as Home Manager.
  105. - Added 'Nagger' screen to Demo version but I at least have the program running
  106.   fully functional now, even for non-registered users. All my programs, from now
  107.   on, wll have the 'Nagger' screen but will NOT be crippled.

  110. Well, that should be about it. I have done extensive changes to this program and
  111. I will get to work on doing new documentation for it. I hope the 'old' users will
  112. like the new enhancements and I hope it will now attract more 'new' users.

  124. -Found a bug in the ToDo's area. If you tried to change to Business ToDo's,
  125.  the program would take a trip to LaLa land. Found the bug and fixed it.
  126.  This was ONLY in the Demo version. It was looking for a print function which
  127.  was, obviously, disabled in the Demo version of Home Manager. This little bug
  128.  had no effect on the Registered version.

  130. Version 1D - November 25,1991

  132. Bug Fixes

  134. - If serial port not found by program or being used by another, HM would
  135.   either lock up at startup or further into the program. This has now been
  136.   fixed. A warning now appears on the screen and alarm sounds. You can
  137.   continue to use the program but dialing features are disabled. You must
  138.   still have the modem on to run the program.
  139.  
  140. New features
  141. ------------
  142.  
  143.       Opening - Alerts now appear if you have Appointments or ToDo's that
  144.                 are active for that day. Alarms also sound.
  145.               - If HM cannot find the serial port or if it finds another
  146.                 program is using it, an alert appears and warning sounds.
  147.  
  148.  Appointments - Now separate from ToDo's and has a larger input window.
  149.               - Saves only appointment files.
  150.  
  151.        ToDo's - Totally new and separate from previous version.
  152.               - Has two windows for 'Must Do's' and 'Could Do's'
  153.               - Choose between Personal and Business. Defaults to Personal.
  154.               - Up to 52 total double-spaced entries.
  155.               - Prioritize items. If an item is done, click mouse pointer
  156.                 to first character, first line of entry then hit
  157.                 Control-DEL. This will delete both lines of the entry and
  158.                 move all others up one position.

  160.        Dialer - If serial port is being used, large X will disable Phone
  161.                 and warning sound comes on. Prevents lockup of program.
  162.  
  163.  Address Book - Added disable feature to dialing functions. Preventing
  164.                 lockup if serial port being used by something else.

  166. *Note about sounds
  167.  -----------------
  168.  There are now two sound files being used as alarms. I have included
  169.  two rather small but effective files. The first one, BAD, is used to
  170.  warn about the failure of serial port recognition. You can replace
  171.  this with any sound file of your choice BUT it MUST be named BAD.
  172.  The second, ALARM, is used to alert you to the presence of either
  173.  Appointments and/or ToDo's on your disk. This can also be replaced with
  174.  any sound of your choice BUT it MUST be named ALARM. These sound files
  175.  are located in the Resources subdirectory and MUST be there.

  178. Well, that's about it for now. I have added and fixed quite a few things
  179. and I might consider adding more to the program. I would also like to
  180. thank Charles Figureido and David Spiro (the first two to register) for
  181. their suggestions and help.
