  21. I have tested this program thoroughly and have not found any bugs and also
  22. find it didn't harm my Amiga. Therefore I take NO responsibilty for problems
  23. incurred on your computer. You use it entirely at your own risk.

  25. * DISTRIBUTION *

  27.    Home Manager is freely distributable and copyrighted. You may upload it
  28. wherever you choose, but you are not allowed to sell Home Manager for
  29. profit, or include Home Manager on a disk which is sold for profit, without
  30. the permission of Len Platt. The ONLY exclusion to this is the Fred Fish
  31. Library.

  37. This is the final realization of what was originally called Home Sweet
  38. Home. I have gone a few steps further in this program and it now contains
  39. an Appointment Scheduler, ToDo List, Notepad, Home Inventory database, an
  40. Address Book (with Dialer) and an Important Phone Number List (with
  41. dialer). Obviously, for the last two, you need a modem attached to your
  42. Amiga's serial port. The dialer supports Tone Dialing. If you have Pulse
  43. Dialing, the program can be changed when it is registered. Just put a note
  44. in with your registration application and I will give you a 'pulse' version
  45. of the program.

  47. I have also decided to go with a more graphical interface instead of
  48. the "Workbench 2 look" that a lot of people are hung up on. The Amiga is a
  49. great colour and graphics computer, so why not have programs that take
  50. advantage of that interface.

  52. There are Help files in the program so I will not go into a long explanation
  53. here. Each area of the program has Help files that can be accessed by
  54. pressing your Help key or by clicking on the Help icon on the screen. If
  55. you wish to have a printed copy of the Help files, just do a graphic screen
  56. dump with one of the many on the market.

  58. The are two functions not mentioned in the online Help files and they are
  59. in the Address Book and the Important Phone Numbers areas. In Address Book
  60. you will see a small telephone beside the Home number and the Work number.
  61. Click these to dial the number to the left of them. In the Important Phone
  62. Numbers area, to dial the number in the lower left box, just click the
  63. telephone. In either case, you must then pickup up the phone within 15
  64. secondsor there will be a disconnect.

  66. Other than that, I only have the following items to mention.

  68. When the program first runs you will see a the opening screen with a closed
  69. book graphic. There is a Help icon which will give you a screen of text
  70. explaining what to do. If you click on the pic of Lord Sutch, you will get
  71. the rundown of the Shareware fee and where to send for registratiion.
  72. This is (ALMOST) a fully running version of the program. Everything works
  73. except the print functions. Registered users will get the full print
  74. functions. Sorry, I didn't want to cripple it in any way but with previous
  75. programs I have done I have yet to receive any Shareware fee for those
  76. fully functioning programs. The program is in Hi-Res Interlace mode and I
  77. might do a Medium Res version but that depends on the response I get.

  79. One other item is using your Escape key. If you use it in any listing or
  80. editing section, it will iconize the program. Just click the icon to return
  81. to the program. Also the Screen Title of each area can be clicked with the
  82. mouse and it will iconize the program. This frees up about 130k of memory of
  83. the minimum 600k needed to run the program. I suggest you have a one meg Amiga
  84. before attempting to run this program. If you happen to run into a
  85. requester asking for a particular IFF file, just assign HOME: to whereever
  86. you have put it on your drive.(I'm sure I have fixed this now, my testing
  87. has shown it doesn't happen anymore....BUT....:).
