  3. 1/2 cup butter
  4. 1 cup brown sugar
  5. 1 egg
  6. 2 cups flour
  7. 1 tsp. baking powder
  8. 1 tsp. baking soda
  9. pinch salt
  10. 1 cup milk
  11. 1 tsp. vanilla
  12. 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  13.  
  14. Preheat oven to 400, grease 12 large or
  15. 24 small muffin tins. In large bowl,
  16. beat butter and sugar until creamy.
  17. Add egg and mix well. Combine flour,
  18. baking powder, baking soda, and salt
  19. and add to butter mixture alternately
  20. with milk. Stir in vanilla and nuts.
  21. Pour batter into muffin tins and bake
  22. 15-20 minutes. Makes 12 or 24.
