- About this release
- ==================
- After weeks of struggle, I have finally managed to produce a Zoom!
- revision which outputs `sane' archive files. My tests have shown that
- the byte-run-compressor was one of the main reasons for the constant
- crashes of previous Zoom! releases (and the creation of corrupt
- archive files). I also fixed the stack usage which has heavily
- decreased at the expense of program length. The pop-up requesters
- have been optimized a bit as well, causing them to perform much faster
- now.

- This release is being distributed in the form of a self-extracting
- archive file. To obtain the distribution files, enter the Shell/CLI,
- type `ZOOM.EXE' and press return, the following files will be created
- in the current directory (it may take quite a while):
-
- Release Date: 11-May-91, 10:47
-
- Zoom (CRC = $92C4D494, Size = 61300 Bytes)
- Zoom.info
- ZoomCheck (CRC = $63661B0A, Size = 19116 Bytes)
- ZoomCheck.info
- CRC (CRC = $4F5177B9, Size = 4104 Bytes)
-
- Zoom.doc (Size = 30304 Bytes)
-
- Use the CRC utility to verify if the `ZOOM.EXE' file is in correct
- state (enter `CRC ZOOM.EXE' and press return). The WRAP checksums of
- all executable files should be zero.
-
- Release Date: 11-May-91, 11:15
-
- ZOOM.EXE (CRC = $AB9F421F, WRAP nonzero, Size 59308 Bytes)
-
- If the checksums do not match the given sample, the archive has
- been accidentally corrupted or deliberately modified!
- If you don't trust the checksums, send me a letter or electronic
- mail (adresses listed below) and ask for the `factory checksums':
