- This is my first try at Arexx programmming--I am FAR from ever being
- a serious programmer, but you what they say about necessity being the
- mother of invention.
- The enclosed files are macros for the text editing program
- "Turbotext" from Oxxi (not a plug). If you also have the PowerPacker
- programs of Nico Francois, you know how much space you can save by keeping
- your files crunched, decrunching them when you need to use them.
- Unfortunately, although there are several programs available to read
- these crunched files, there wasn't any readily available way to edit them
- without having to resort to the tedium of the CLI. That's what spurred me
- on to write these handy little macros.
- To use these files, you need the "Powerpacker" crunch and decrunch
- files in your c: directory, and the enclosed .ttx files in your rexx:
- directory. I have supplied an example .dfn (which goes in the
- turbotext:support directory) file which has these macros as options in the
- first menu. It goes without saying--except that I just said it--that you
- need ARexx to use these macros, too.
- I hope you find these useful, and if you have any improvements,
- please share them with us all.
