  1. Expand
  2.  
  3. Expand is a little program to use with the oktalyzer eight channel music
  4. program. When you were making a piece of music using 5 channels, and wanted
  5. to add another melody or drumtrack, and all of your 5 channels were used up
  6. then you just had to leave something out. But now there's expand, just
  7. save your song, type Expand <song> <newsong>, with the number of the
  8. channels you want to expand, and you can continue, with more channels
  9. available.

  11. The option S can be used to double speed in a song. Conditions for
  12. doubling are:
  13.  
  14.     1. Speed is now an even number
  15.     2. All patterns have length < 64 (the patterns will be twice as
  16.        long after speed doubling).

  18. The use of speed doubling is in drum-tracks, when you started with a
  19. slow speed and want to add some fast percusion.

  22. Convert
  23.  
  24. Convert can be used to convert soundtracker (32 channel versions!!!!)
  25. modules to oktalyzer modules. I couldn't figure out how eight-channel
  26. sounds were stored in oktalyzer, so when you convert the module, you
  27. have to set the playmode right for all the samples (playmode will be
  28. 4-channel for all of the converted samples).

  31. These programs haven't been tested extensively, so there's a chance
  32. they aren't totally correct (or should I say, it's for sure).
