  1. Crossword Puzzle Creator: Installation

  4. Floppy Disk

  7. You need all the files in the "Cross"-drawer on this disk, plus:
  8.  
  9.  - ARP.library
  10.  - Icon.library
  11.  - Printer.device
  12.  - Parallel.device
  13.    (printers connected to the serial port are not supported at this time)
  14.  - Port-Handler
  15.  - appropriate printer driver
  16.  - Assign-command
  17.  
  18. Create a bootable disk (FORMAT, INSTALL); I will call the freshly formatted
  19. disk "Y", and the disk you received Cross on "X".
  20.  
  21. Now copy
  22.  * the libraries from "SYS:Libs" into a drawer called "Libs" on "Y"
  23.  * the devices from "SYS:Devs" into a drawer called "Devs" on "Y"
  24.  * the "Cross"-Drawer from "X" drawer with the same name on "Y"
  25.  * the Port-Handler from "SYS:l" into a drawer called "l" on "Y"
  26.  * the printer driver that is suited best for your printer from the
  27.    "SYS:Devs/Printers" drawer into a drawer with the same name on "Y"
  28.  * the "Assign"-command from "SYS:c" to a drawer called "c" on "Y"
  29.  
  30. Then create a Startup-Sequence on "Y" which must contain at least the
  31. following entries:
  32.  
  33.    Assign Cross: <disk.name>:Cross
  34.    Cross:Cross
  35.  
  36.    (insert the actual disk name of "Y" for <disk.name>)

  39. Hard disk
  40. ---------
  41. Hard disk users will probably have all required files already somewhere on
  42. their hard disk drive; simply copy the "Cross"-drawer from "X" to your
  43. hard disk, and then add the "Assign" to your Startup-Sequence.
