  11. The udate program has evolved since I first wrote the original version
  12. back in July of this year.  If you have an old version of udate or dst,
  13. I suggest that you read the documentation carefully, since there are
  14. some differences in the way the daylight savings time adjustment and
  15. the TIMEZONE variable are set.  This new version of udate actually
  16. combines the old udate and dst program into one program.

  18. The old dst command would set the TIMEZONE variable for you with the
  19. current timezone name and then the udate command would read it.  The
  20. new version of udate requires that the TIMEZONE variable be set by the
  21. user, see the documentation.  The new way seems much better and more UNIX
  22. like.

  25. A jokes file has been included to show the versatility of 'fortune' in
  26. reading multiple text files.  Some of the jokes in this file are somewhat
  27. crude and poke fun at many ethnic and minority groups.  I belong to one
  28. of these groups and do not feel insulted by any of the jokes.  Others may
  29. not feel the same.  Sorry, I suggest that you simply delete the entire
  30. file or the jokes you find offensive.
