- KEYMENU V1.01 20/05/90 -- by Rainer Salamon. In the Public Domain.
- usage: runback keymenu ; install Keymenu
- keymenu quit ; remove Keymenu
- (same as sending a ^C to the KEYMENU process)
- keymenu ? ; print help
-
- Keymenu is for those among you who want easy and fast access to
- pull-down menus from the keyboard and do not want to remember
- dozens of keys for each program.
-
- How to access a program's menu strip from the keyboard: Press ALT-RETURN
- to show off the menu bar. Then use the cursor keys to select an item
- (ALT-CURSORUP and ALT-CURSORDOWN in subitem lists). Pressing a cursor key
- while holding down the SHIFT key moves to the beginning resp. to the end.
- With SHIFT-RETURN you may choose a menu item and continue to choose other
- items. RETURN is like releasing the right mouse button. ALT-RETURN aborts
- the menuing. Each entry in the menu bar has a function key attached to it.
- I hope you find using Keymenu intuitive.
-
- KEYMENU DOES NOT WORK WITH A MOUSE ACCELERATOR INSTALLED!
- (to avoid problems run e.g. dmouse with the option -a1)
-
- Any comments on the program are welcomed (bug reports, enhancements).
