  1. Here are some tools for icon tricks...  Note that these tools are
  2. really hacks because they exploit some areas of the .info files
  3. that the current version of WorkBench does not clear or reset upon
  4. loading the icon.  These appear to be the only fields in the .info
  5. files that will do anything useful.  I am releasing these for public
  6. use simply because 1.4 is in development and I think it would be neat
  7. if 1.4 allowed some sort of customization in colours to take place.
  8. The effect provided by Fix has been mentioned in Amiga Transactor, but
  9. I discovered it independantly and it was in use on AMUC's newsletter
  10. disks before the artical appeared.

  12.    Fix   allows you to specify the two colours that go into the borders
  13.          of WorkBench windows.  For some neat effects try:

  16.                 2 1
  17.                 0 0
  18.                 1 1
  19.                 3 0

  21.          note that WorkBench's default is: 3 0.  Note also that playing
  22.          with these settings can change the colours used in WorkBenches
  23.          menus.

  25.    Lift  allows you to raise or lower the text that goes under an icon,
  26.          type "lift" to get help.  This is a neat tool as it allows you
  27.          to put the "hanging" text right into the imagery of the icon
  28.          giving WorkBench drawers a whole new look.

  30.    Center has been improved by adding an optional parameter, "c" for clear,
  31.           which will clear the effects of previous centering or lifting.
  32.           Center is a more restricted version of Lift.

  35. CLI prompt.
