-
- Minimum configuration:
- One Meg. of RAM
-
- To install on a hard disk:
- 1. create a directory to put the demo in.
- 2. drag the FractalSlides and FractalMovie directories into this
- new directory
-
- For those who have a hard disk, you will want use the projector
- on the file named "fantasic_fractals_hd.film. This version has
- delays in it to compensate for the hard disk faster loading time.
-
- Those of you with only one floppy drive or 512K of RAM will want to
- use the projector on the file named "slides.film." This will only
- display the slides (it will not display the movie.) The movie is
- what takes all the RAM.
-
- The pictures in this demo were generated on an Amiga 2000 with a
- 2620 board. The program that generates the pictures was written
- by me (Kevin Clague) in C.
-
- The pictures are Mandelbrot and Julia pictures generated using
- the Distance Estimator Method. Without a processor accelerator
- board these pictures took about 24 hours to generate and display.
- With a processor accelerator and the code compiled to use the 68881
- directly, the pictures take about 20 minutes.
-
- I hope you like it!!
