- Zoom In Help Information
-
- The Mandlebrot set is inifite in
- detail. Inside a given
- "interesting" picture, there are an
- infinite number of other
- "interesting" pictures waiting to be
- generated.
-
- When MandelVroom first starts up, it
- begins by generating a large picture
- of the Mandelbrot set. All the
- Mandelbrot pictures you've ever seen
- exist somewhere within this picture.
-
- You can select a region within a
- given picture as the basis for your
- next picture by using a tool called
- the Zoom Box.
-
- When you select small regions within
- a picture as the region for your
- next picture, you are zooming in.
- If you were looking at a given
- picture using a zoom lens, you can
- think of zooming in as increasing
- the magnification factor of the
- lens.
-
- These are the steps to zooming in:
-
- 1. Open a new project using the
- New Project menu item.
-
- 2. Pull down the In subitem of the
- Zoom menu item, or press the
- "I" button in the right margin
- of your new project.
-
- 3. Place the mouse cursor over
- where you want the upper left
- hand corner of the Zoom Box,
- and press and hold the left
- mouse button.
-
- 4. While holding down the left
- mouse button, slide the mouse
- down and to the right.
-
- 5. Once the Zoom Box is the
- desired size, release the left
- mouse button.
-
- Once you've placed the Zoom Box you
- must start the picture generating
- to complete the zoom in process.
-
-
