- Well, it's finished. It now looks pretty good, but I haven't spent any
- time figuring out why the converted files sound nothing like the
- original. Mostly because I have only two MIDI files to play with,
- neither of which I created myself. But neither of them survives the
- conversion without some fatal distortion. I did not write the conversion
- routines; all I did was extract them from another program, and package
- them up in a neat little Intuition window. You who have downloaded this
- file are hereby conscripted and shanghai'ed into being a beta-tester.
- In a separate arcfile you can the complete source code as well as a file
- from Electronic Arts which "describes" the IFF-SMUS specification. Maybe
- you can figure out why the tempo goes south when you go SMUS -> MIDI or
- why the quantization screws up when you go MIDI -> SMUS. Frankly, I need
- a sequencer which saves standard MIDI files. But right now, my money
- goes toward furniture. So send me a few MIDI files, huh? Browse through
- all this righteous source code and tell me what you find. Supposedly,
- these conversion routines come from the software geniuses at OpCode, so
- they *should* be good.

- YOU MUST HAVE THE arp.library IN YOUR LIBS: DIRECTORY, OR THIS PROGRAM
- WILL *NOT* WORK!!!!!!
