  7. 1.  Simple description 
  8.  
  9.     This program helps you to choose your preferences for the Alex
  10.     emulator for the Amiga. It lets you choose:
  11.     
  12.     - Phone numbers associated with each class of services
  13.       (Alex 1, Alex 2,...).
  14.     - Favorite language, french or english.
  15.     - Type of phone line, pulse or tone.
  16.     - Colors of the status indicators and stripe.

  18. 2.  Getting started

  20.     Simply double-click with the left mouse button over the Editor
  21.     icon.

  23. 3.  General view 
  24.  
  25.     This editor consists of two pages. The first one contains
  26.     the phone numbers, the preferences for language and type
  27.     of phone line, and the OK and CANCEL buttons. The other page
  28.     contains buttons and cursors in order to choose the colors
  29.     of the status indicators and the stripe containing the Alex
  30.     function keys.

  32. 4.  Phone numbers 
  33.  
  34.     For each phone number there is a name associated with it
  35.     (usually the class of service). You can see before the phone
  36.     number, the name associated with it. You can change either
  37.     of them by clicking over the right box and editing what is
  38.     in the box like a normal line of text with the delete and
  39.     backspace keys. When you are finished with one box press
  40.     return or click another box.

  45. 5.  Favorite language and type of phone line 
  46.  
  47.     You just have to click over the language or the type of line button.
  48.     On this    button is written the current language or type of line. Click
  49.     it and it will change.

  51. 6.  Colors of the status indicators and the stripe 
  52.  
  53.     First you have to select the next page by clicking over the
  54.     colors button.
  55.  
  56.     At your right will appear a phone, a terminal, a parity error
  57.     indicator and a portion of the stripe containing the Alex function
  58.     buttons. The first three icons are indicators of the state of the
  59.     emulator. They use the same colors. The stripe use it's own set of
  60.     colors. To change a color in the first set of color you click over
  61.     one of three big buttons on the top presenting the colors. Once
  62.     you've selcted a color, the cursors at the left of the screen will
  63.     adjust to display how much of Red, Green and Blue this color
  64.     contains. By moving one of the cursors, red, green or blue, you will
  65.     change the ratio of red, green or blue in the selected color. You do
  66.     the the same thing for the stripe except that the colors are at the
  67.     bottom of the others. When you've finished select OK to return to
  68.     first page or CANCEL to return to first page but with no change with
  69.     the colors.

  71.     The two buttons on the top of the screen 'Last Saved' and 
  72.     'Default' are used to select the whole set of colors that
  73.     was last saved or the default colors.
