  1. This is a replacement for the tail which i submitted a few weeks ago.  It
  2. fixes a few problems, notably it now works with *real* pipes, it will run
  3. with the default stack size of 4000 bytes, and the arbitrary maximum line
  4. limit of 4096 has been removed all with no decrease in performance.
