-
- MemFlush is a short Assembly language program who's purpose is to force EXEC
- to free up the memory occupied by unused libraries, fonts, and other shared
- resources. Since this memory will get freed as soon as it is needed anyway,
- this program is only useful to programmers. It's purpose is to flush unused
- resources so that the programmer can be sure that his or her program is
- freeing all resources upon exiting. It does this merely by Allocating
- a very large block of memory (256 Meg), freeing it if it just happens to
- get it.
-
- MemFlush is invoked from the CLI, with any one of the options.
-
- c -Flush only Chip RAM
-
- f -Flush only Fast RAM
-
- ? -Displays a short help message
-
- If the user specifies more than one of these, or if he has any other
- non-space characters on the line; nothing happens and he gets the help
- message. If the user doesn't specify anything, MemFlush will flush both
- Chip and Fast ram.
-
- MemFlush will fit in a single block on a disk, so there isn't much point
- in making it any smaller, but any suggestions for improving it will be
- accepted. I can be reached on either of these fine BBS's:

- I get credit for my effort.
