- The animation file STS.ANIM in this archive was created with Sculpt-Animate
- 3D and is of the Space Shuttle Orbiter rotating about its vertical axis in
- 60 ray-traced frames played back at 15 frames/second. Total rendering time
- was approximately 80 hours. Use Eric Graham's NewMOVIE player to view the
- animation, or load it in directly to Sculpt-Animate. Using NewMOVIE, the
- animation can be viewed with 1 meg RAM. From S-A, 1.5 meg is required.
-
- Please note that the Orbiter in this animation is NOT, repeat NOT, from the
- Space Shuttle/Space Station 3D object disk currently on the market. The
- Orbiter object used for this animation was painstakingly built by myself
- over a period of many weeks. The geometry is of extremely high fidelity -
- surfaces are accurate to within an inch or two in general. NO smoothing
- was used - the Orbiter surface mesh consists of nearly 2500 polygons.
