  1. Diskperfa

  3. The original author of this program was lost so I am just going to mention
  4. some useful tips for the later owner of the program.
  5.  
  6. TO USE:
  7.  
  8. CD to the directory or devices ( Disk drive, Hard drive or even Ram ).  
  9. Then perform the command Disperfa.  Immediately, the device will start
  10. working.  
  11.  
  12. To send the performance report to other device ( best with RAM: ) just 
  13. Do this.  "Disperfa > RAM:filename"
  14.  
  15. Here is a sample report of my 32meg 65ms drive:

  17. File create/delete:    create 15 files/sec, delete 20 files/sec
  18. Directory scan:        104 entries/sec
  19. Seek/read test:        98 seek/reads per second
  20. r/w speed:        buf 512 bytes, rd 77101 byte/sec, wr 27306 byte/sec
  21. r/w speed:        buf 4096 bytes, rd 163840 byte/sec, wr 113975 byte/sec
  22. r/w speed:        buf 8192 bytes, rd 201649 byte/sec, wr 145635 byte/sec
  23. r/w speed:        buf 32768 bytes, rd 291271 byte/sec, wr 163840 byte/sec
