  E  strong, simple but powerful, and with the grace of a swannish murgle E

  P  dlroWagimA, nice place if i do say so myself, and i does  ;-).       P

  E     well. here we are again. another month. another week. another     E
  L  day. another HACK. YEP! you heard me. another HACK. or is it... ?    L

  E  i really am proud of this little program. i have to admit though,    E
  L  it's simple as hell to do ... takes alot of perseverence thats all.  L
  P  have you ever tried drawing all 32 positions for a pointer using     P
  E  preferences ?? you haven't ? neither have I. this pointer has 24     E
  L  positions :-)  anyway, i think it's really jolly nice. really.       L

  P  jolly thrilling and all that stuff, eh watt ? I HAD wanted to make   P
  E  just ONE drawing of the pointer (used the program PTRDATA to change  E
  L  the preferences system-configuration file into C data statements)    L
  P  and then do a 2 dimensional rotation of that data. I really couldnt  P
  E  be bothered to come with an algorithm to rotate all those colors and E
  L  positions. too much trouble. So i drew every single position, and    L
  P  that's why the program size is pretty large. I'm not going to put    P
  E  the source code in PD, 'cause i'm too embarassed. In a computer      E
  L  sci exam, i'd get a Z grade :-). The only source code i borrowed was L
  P  for the input events from MachMouse1.6. (look out for my Mad-Moose). P

  E  I set the priority on this program pretty high. This is necessary    E
  L  because we want to get the Mouse and key events before intuition.    L
  P  So it'll take up alot of CPU time when you're moving the mouse.      P
  E  Anyway, i sure hope this program thrills you to bits. to make this   E
  L  thing go, you can either RUN it or RUNBACK it. It shouldn't mind     L
  P  which one you do, BUT, if you RUNBACK it you will NOT get the usage  P
  E  info...! Not that there's much usage to it, anyway :-). After you    E
  L  run it, just MOVE your MOUSE... tadaaa... Elpointer...!              L
  P  oh yeah, this program ALSO does a SUNMOUSE. The reason for this is   P
  E  'cause i'm using SetPointer(). If I didn't use this then when you    E
  L  switch screens, the pointer wouldn't be set properly. I think. well, L
  P  I KNOW I had a good reason for doing it, can't remember what though! P
  E  PLEASE don't complain about the way the pointer looks. i ADMIT, it's E
  L  not perfect.. ! but it's hard drawing all positions of a pointer in  L
  P  an 8 by 8 matrix !! it could be a little better i suppose. naaaaaah. P
  E  you can also change the color of the pointer to 3 PRESET COLORS.     E
  L  these colors are GREEN, WHITE, and BLACK.                            L
  P  to do this, use Left-Amiga-Z.                                        P

  please remember, this program probably has a few bugs in it somewhere.
  If you're using this program and it trashes your system, don't blame
  me !! it comes "as is", whatever happens from your use of this program
  is your responsibility. i do not and cannot gaurantee it will work
  perfectly. All i can say is that it works on MY system. so there. nyah.
