- Impulse Teapot & Wave Animation August 1, 1988
- ==================================================
-
-
- The animation in this archive was created with "Turbo Silver"
- from Impulse, Inc. The Teapot object was converted from
- Sculpt 3D format, using "Interchange" from Syndesis. The original
- object is from the Syndesis Object disk #1.
-
- After conversion the object was re-sized and modified in the
- Turbo Silver editor. The waves under the teapot were created
- with a new program from Impusle called "Terrain". In addition
- to the ability to create single, and multiple animated wave
- forms, "Terrain" can also create detailed mountains, peaks,
- valleys, and other surfaces which can be used in both cell or
- object format which can be used by "Turbo Silver" or other
- rendering programs when converted using utilities like
- "Interchange"
-
- This animation was originally done in 400 line interlace overscan
- mode, but was reduced to 200 line, non-interlace, normal video to
- reduce the file size and download time requirements.
-
- The only modification to the original rendered pictures was the
- addition of the Impulse logo at the top using "Diamond", also
- from Impulse.
-
- To run the animation, execute the "execute.me" file to re-construct
- the animation. If the "execute.me" file is missing or corrupt,
- simply create a subdirectory called "TEAPOT.ANI" and copy all of
- the files, named "ANIM.<n>" and the filed called "script" into the
- sub-directory called "TEAPOT.ANI". To play the animation, simply
- type from the root directory: "PLAYER TEAPOT.ANI".
-
- This animation should run just fine in a 512K machine.
