- This is a thirty-nine-frame animation of the Lorenz Attractor
- rotating through a 76-degree arc. Use it as you wish but please
- give credit to the author.
-
- The images were generated by a modification of the Lorenz module
- in CHAOS.ARC available in DL16. They were captured by a modification
- of SaveILBM on the Extras1.2 disk. The animation was made using
- Eric Graham's MOVIE package. And of course the greatest credit should
- go to Professor Lorenz of MIT who, twenty-five years ago, saw something
- important in equations others considered too `chaotic' to be of interest.
-
- At least 1 Meg of RAM is necessary to run this animation. You must
- have the MOVIE program in the same directory with LORMOVIE. At the
- CLI prompt type MOVIE LORMOVIE, sit back for a bit of disk-grinding,
- then enjoy the show.
-
- WARNING: WHEN YOU EXIT THE MOVIE THE SYSTEM WILL CRASH!! (at least,
- mine does). The Guru will arrive and you will have to reboot. Just
- make sure nothing valuable is in RAM; everything on disk is safe.
-
- I welcome comments, criticism, discussion, etc. preferably via
- EMail. I also follow the Science/Math forum on CIS (GO SCIENCE).
-
- Here's hoping you like the movie.
