- Program by Stuart Dowdy

- Artillery is an addicting piece of entertainment. Two can play or you
- can play both sides. The object is to fire your missile accurately, taking
- into account wind speed, the slope of the landscape, distance, elevation,
- and the required angle and velocity. A direct hit on your opponent is the
- desired goal, but you each take turns so skill is important here. On your
- turn, you select an ANGLE and a VELOCITY. Try typing 40 and 150, each
- followed by a carriage return. The program will automatically fire a shell
- according to your specifications.
- Each time you run or re-run Artillery you'll find that the program
- draws the landscape in a different fashion. You'll see a wide variety of
- landscapes over several plays. To exit, type CONTROL-C or select STOP from
- the RUN menu, then select QUIT from the PROJECT menu. The artillery will
- make a whistling sound as the missile makes its way toward the intended
- target. Enjoy it, but remember I said it's addicting. You've been warned!
