  13.    BCS Software produces software and hardware for video and
  14. film applications.  Two products currently on the market are
  15. E-LISTER and The Time Code Reader Program.  E-LISTER is a
  16. full-featured program that allows you to create standard format
  17. edit decision lists.  The Time Code Reader Program allows your
  18. Apple to read SMPTE time code, which can then be used to build
  19. edit or cue lists, test for dropouts or "glitches" that can ruin
  20. an edit session, or simply display the time code in large, easy
  21. to read characters.

  23.    In addition to the above two programs, I have also designed
  24. software for many custom applications.  Several customers are
  25. currently using the Time Code Cue Controller to automatically
  26. trigger a character generator to insert captions over a video
  27. program.  A list of up to 1600 events can be entered into the
  28. computer, which then sends a programmable pulse to the character
  29. generator or switcher at the correct times.

  31.    I also have software that allows lists on the Apple to be
  32. transferred directly to CMX editing equipment.  One customer is
  33. using the automatic edit list feature of the Time Code Reader
  34. Program to generate a list from the off-line edited tape, and
  35. then transfer the list to a CMX-340XP.  The whole process takes
  36. slightly longer than it takes to simply play the tape.

  38.    I am currently working on the same software for the Amiga. 
  39. I feel that the Amiga is the perfect computer for the video
  40. professional.  This software will take full advantage of the
  41. genlocking and interlace capabilities, allowing it to become a
  42. full-featured character generator.  Demo versions of the software
  43. should be available by January 1987.

  45.    I am always interested in new applications for the computer
  46. in video production and post-production.  I can program the
  47. Apple, the IBM, the Radio Shack portables (very handy for the
  48. field), and the Amiga.  Most of the custom programs I have
  49. developed cost less than $400.  I can also design and build any
  50. interface devices that you might need.

  52.    I have worked as systems engineer for Compact Video and RTS
  53. Systems, and in video production for Ruxton, Ltd.  I have found
  54. that the right software can save a lot of man-hours.  Let me know
