Boot Logger is an INIT type resource, to be placed in your system folder. It has only been tested on a Mac Plus under System 4.0. It may or may not work on other configurations, try it and see.
What does it do? It creates a text file in your system folder called "Boot Log File". Each time your computer is booted it will write the current date and time to the text file.
The INIT looks for this text file to be called "Boot Log File" and in the system folder, so if you want to keep a log, you should leave the name as is.
Also changing the name of the INIT itself has been known to cause the system to crash! (I have no idea why.) You can play with the name if you like, but you were warned.
Here is an interesting thing I discovered. When the INIT creates the "Boot Log File" it (the INIT) gets executed twice! Not so when only logging to the "Boot Log File". (Once again I have no idea why, maybe it's my system :-(. Anybody got any theories?) So the INIT will not log the date & time when it creates the file, depending on the fact that it will be run twice and on the second shot it will log the date & time.
So if it doesn't log the date & time the first time you boot, it should work correctly on subsequent tries.
