The transient input generator generates two kinds of output pulses: unit step and Dirac impulse.
Unit Step Output
When the generator is set for unit step output, the output voltage is zero at the first step, and is one volt for all subsequent steps.
Dirac Impulse Output
When the input generator is set for Dirac impulse output, it produces zero volts output for the first step of the simulation; a calculated, Dirac pulse voltage (see below) for the second step of the simulation; and then drops to zero volts for all subsequent steps. Amount of voltage at the second step is equal to the number of steps divided by the total time of the simulation.
