  4.     Josephine's Recipe Filer is an innovative application
  5.     language.  Easy to learn. Full featured. CUA Compliant

  10.     This package includes interpreters for DOS and MS-Windows,
  11.     editor, source level debugger, tutorial, context help,
  12.     full manual and sample programs.  Language supports
  13.     arrays, pointers, variable length records, text elements
  14.     in records, multiple indexes, and network access to files.

  16.     This package is shareware.  Registration is required if you
  17.     write new programs using the interpreter.  You will want to
  18.     register anyway, because the 350 page manual is a pain to
  19.     print and is much nicer when you let JORF Company print
  20.     and bind it for you.  Also - you want to help support
  21.     Wayland in his effort to develop an easier tool for
  22.     business application programming.

  78.     To install the disk, create an appropriate subdirectory
  79.     like C:\JORF, then unzip from the distribution disk to
  80.     that subdirectory.

  97.                Printing the Manual

  99.     To print the manual, you can use the DOS "PRINT" or DOS "COPY"
  100.     commands.  The manual is about 380 pages long.  Be sure your
  101.     printer has enough ribbon/toner and paper.

  107.               Starting the JORF Interpreter
  108.  
  109.     To run the interpreter, all you have to do is type JORF
  110.         followed by the program name.

  116.     If you have the shareware version, a shareware screen will
  117.     appear when you type JORF.  This screen does not appear if
  118.     you type a program name.

  120.                Getting Started with JORF
  121.  
  122.     The best way to get started is to run the JORF Tutorial.
  123.         From the DOS command line, type JORF TUTORIAL.  From
  124.     Windows, select the educated goat icon.
  125.  
  126.     The Tutorial is a hypertext application that features self
  127.     writing programs.  Press 'Q' to run the Quick Demo that
  128.         writes the program code for a new window as you watch.
  129.  
  130.     Be sure to hit Ctrl-Break to see the Program Editor and
  131.     Debugger.  While in the editor, arrow to any key word
  132.         and hit F1 to read the help entry for that word.

  134.                   Getting Out
  135.  
  136.     To exit the current window at any time press Ctrl-F4 or
  137.         Escape.  To end the current program press Alt-F4 or Alt-X.

  139.                 Sample Programs

  141.     If you just type JORF, or if you click the JORF icon, you
  142.     will be started in the JORF Editor and Debugger.  Select
  143.         File, Open to see a list of programs.
