  2.                        EMBEDDED BIOS RAM DISK

  4. Embedded BIOS has an integrated RAM disk driver that provides disk drive
  5. emulation with SRAM or DRAM devices.  This allows hand-held data capture
  6. systems to keep battery-backed information in a file system that is
  7. compatible with DOS at the sector-level.

  9. The RAM disk is compatible with PCMCIA RAM disks.  This makes movement
  10. of data in "datacap" applications especially easy, and at the same time
  11. makes application product development easy because application software
  12. and data files can be stored on SRAM cards during testing.

  14. The Embedded BIOS ROM disk can operate in either protected mode or real
  15. mode, enabling its operation in low-end 186-based systems or high-end
  16. 386, 486, and Pentium systems with RAM mapped up to 4.2 gigabytes.
