  1. README FILE FOR CLIPBOARD EXTENDER 2.2

  3. Installation and usage of Clipboard Extender is covered in the CLIPEXT.WRI 
  4. file.
  5.  
  6. This file is intended to provide a summary of some of the changes to 
  7. version 2.2.
  8.  
  9. * The most noticeable change is that Clipboard Extender will now open and save
  10.   files in the clipboard format (.clp).  This includes clipbook pages saved by
  11.   Windows for Workgroups Clipbook program.
  12.  
  13. NOTE: For Clipboard Extender to open a.clp file, it MUST contain text.  
  14. Clipboard Extender will NOT open a .clp file that contains graphics data.

  16. * Clipboard Extender now distinguishes between a file that has been opened and
  17.   a file that has been saved and maintains each name separately in memory.  
  18.   What does this mean and what is its advantage?  Well, it means that you can 
  19.   open multiple files and save or append the data from each of those files to
  20.   a single, different file without having to re-specify the name of the save
  21.   file each time.

  23. The following bugs were fixed:
  24. - With the Stay On Top feature active, Clipboard Extender could be postioned on
  25.   the screen so that it covered the About box's OK button, preventing the user
  26.   from being able to close the box.  Clipboard Extender will now never cover 
  27.   any part of the About box, even when the Stay On Top feature is active.

  29. - When the clipboard's contents were deleted from the Windows Clipboard Viewer 
  30.   program, Clipboard Extender failed to also delete its display of the text,
  31.   which was then being placed right back in the clipboard the next time text
  32.   was copied.
