Transcription: Socrates lived in the 5th century BC. The first great philosopher of ancient Greece, he sought to uncover the nature of virtue and justice. Most of what we know about Socrates today comes from the writings of his student Plato. Falsely indicted by political foes, Socrates was condemned to death on charges of corrupting the youth of Athens. Today he is considered one of the world's most important, teachers.
