  6. The following changes were made in WinZip 4.0a:
  7.  
  8. - Built-in ZIP extraction is much faster.  An 80386 based system or better is
  9.   now required for built-in ZIP extraction.
  10.  
  11. - Added support for Central Point's CPAV virus scanner.
  12.  
  13. - Fixed a couple bugs, including one that prevented using ARC files in some
  14.   configurations, and a problem extracting from ZIPs that span multiple
  15.   floppies.
  16.  
  17. New features in WinZip 4.0 include:

  19. - Added support for PKZIP 2.0, including built-in ZIP extraction.
  20.  
  21. - Added support for the ARJ file format.
  22.  
  23. - Added a new toolbar with descriptive pictorial buttons.
  24.  
  25. - Added a 3-D look to all dialog boxes.
  26.  
  27. - Added a new Directories dialog box with options for the Start-up directory,
  28.   default Extract directory, and default Add directory.
  29.  
  30. - Added an optional beep after archive operations complete.
  31.  
  32. - Added support for the Norton Anti-Virus program (NAV.EXE).

  34. - Added the last few archives opened to the File pull-down menu for easy
  35.   access.
