  8. TICKER is a Windows 3.x and an MS-DOS program (two different programs,
  9. bundled together) that displays continuous streams of jokes, sayings,
  10. insults, trivia, etc. to provide you with a diversion from the hum-drum
  11. work you should be doing on your PC.  Under Windows, the TICKER window
  12. will keep displaying even while you open up and work in other windows.
  13. All text items (e.g., jokes, sayings) are stored in databases, separate
  14. from the TICKER programs, and you can have as many databases as you like.
  15. Along with TICKER we provide one Sampler database containing hundreds of
  16. jokes and sayings.  We also offer many other databases to registered users.
  17. Additionally, you can create your own databases with the TICKPACK utility
  18. included.  The TICKER registration fee is $15.00.

  20. The DOS version of TICKER will run in under 256K of memory on any monitor.
  21. The Windows version will run on any machine that runs Windows.
