  5.                                VENDOR INFORMATION

  8.     This file contains information for Shareware Distributors, Disk
  9.     Vendors, Computer Clubs, Bulletin Board Systems and User Groups who
  10.     wish to distribute the evaluation version of the Parity Technical
  11.     Analysis System, Version 1.3 (Parity).
  12.  
  13.     For sample descriptions which you may use to describe Parity please see
  14.     DESCRIBE.TXT.

  16.                            DISTRIBUTION REQUIREMENTS
  17.                            -------------------------
  18.     Computer Clubs, User Groups and Bulletin Board Systems may add Parity
  19.     to their disk libraries or downloadable files in accordance with the
  20.     restrictions listed in the Limited Distribution License below.  We
  21.     encourage you to contact us in order to be placed on our mailing list
  22.     for future upgrades to Parity.

  24.     Shareware Distributors and Disk Vendors may distribute Parity in
  25.     accordance with the restrictions in the Limited Distribution License
  26.     below and the following additional restrictions.
  27.  
  28.     1) If the intended date of distribution is more than four (4) months
  29.        from the release date of the version of Parity you intend to
  30.        distribute, you MUST contact us to obtain the most up-to-date
  31.        evaluation version of Parity.
  32.  
  33.     2) You MUST notify us that you have distributed Parity within 30 days
  34.        of first including Parity in your catalog, or having made disks
  35.        containing Parity available to the public.  This is a REQUIREMENT
  36.        not a request.  However, we will include you on our mailing list and
  37.        endeavor to provide you with program updates in a timely fashion for
  38.        future distributions.

  40.     3) You may include small additions to the Parity package, such as the
  41.        introductory or installation batch files used by many shareware disk
  42.        vendors.  You may also include Parity as part of a "disk set" as
  43.        long as the total compressed data included on that disk set does not
  44.        exceed 3 megabytes.  
  45.        
  46.     4) We now permit Version 1.3 of Parity to be included on CD-ROM if and 
  47.        only if the publisher of the CD-ROM is a member of the Association of 
  48.        Shareware Professionals.

  50.                           LIMITED DISTRIBUTION LICENSE
  51.                           ----------------------------

  53.     Shareware Distributors, Disk Vendors, Computer Clubs, Bulletin Board
  54.     Systems and User Groups are granted permission to distribute the
  55.     evaluation version of Parity ONLY when the following conditions are
  56.     met.
  57.  
  58.     The Parity Software is defined as containing ALL the material listed in
  59.     the PACKING.LST text file.  If any of the files listed in PACKING.LST
  60.     are missing, or PACKING.LST itself is missing distribution is
  61.     forbidden.  The complete Parity package is often distributed as two
  62.     separate ZIP files, PRTY13D1.ZIP and PRTY13D2.ZIP.  If you distribute
  63.     Parity as two ZIP files the contents of each file must be identical to
  64.     that shown on the packing list and you must make both files available.
  65.     You may distribute Parity in an uncompressed form as long as all the 
  66.     files are distributed on a SINGLE high density disk.  Parity's 
  67.     installation routine requires all the files to be located in a single 
  68.     disk or directory.

  70.     The Parity Software, including all related program, documentation and
  71.     data files, cannot be modified in any way and must be distributed as a
  72.     complete package.

  74.     No price or other compensation may be charged for the Parity Software.
  75.     A distribution fee, however, may be charged for the cost of the
  76.     diskette and shipping and handling, as long as the total cost per disk
  77.     does not exceed $10.00 in the U.S. or $15.00 (U.S.) internationally.

  79.     The Parity Software cannot be sold as part of any other package, nor
  80.     may it be included in any commercial software packaging offer without
  81.     the express written consent of ParTech Software Systems.

  83.     Under no circumstances are you allowed to distribute a registered copy
  84.     of Parity, or copy the printed Parity Users Manual.
  85.  
  86.     You may not list the Parity software in any catalog, advertisement, or
  87.     other literature which describes or implies that the software is free.

  89.                                 LIMITED WARRANTY

  92.     The Evaluation Version of the Parity software is provided "AS IS".
  93.     ParTech Software Systems, and Paul Rickert make no warranties of any 
  94.     kind, expressed or implied.  No representation or warranties are made 
  95.     as to the completeness, accuracy, precision, functionality, safety, 
  96.     merchantability, or fitness of the Parity software or any component 
  97.     thereof.

  99.                             LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  102.     In no event will ParTech Software Systems, or Paul Rickert be liable 
  103.     for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary 
  104.     damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data, 
  105.     business profits, business interruption, or other pecuniary loss) arising 
  106.     out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the software or 
  107.     documentation, the breach of any express or implied warranty, or 
  108.     otherwise in connection with the software or documentation which makes 
  109.     up the Parity Technical Analysis System.
