  7. This program is JonWare. This means you can copy it around as much as you
  8. like and give it to all your friends as long as you include the files, you
  9. don't alter any of it and you don't make any money out of it. If you violate

  15. Following my current policy of writing piddly little utilities the day after
  16. what was probably the only time in my life I would have used it, I now bring
  17. upon an unsuspecting world....  StopClock!

  20. The name's a bit misleading, actually. It should be called
  21. 'Stop_Start_Reset_and_lap_timery_thingy_Clock' but that doesn't fit in ten
  22. characters.

  24. If you have a digital watch with a stopclock then ignore the rest of the
  25. instructions, it's just like your watch, the 'Start' and 'Stop' buttons are
  26. the 'Start/Stop' button on your watch, and the display is the 'Reset/Lap'
  27. button.

  29. Anyway, when it loads it has a cute little window with what looks like three
  30. icons but is actually nine icons cunningly disguised. Click on 'Start' to
  31. start the timer, and 'Stop' to stop it. Click on the display for 'reset'. If
  32. you click reset when the timer is going then the 'lap' indicator will appear,
  33. and the display will stop, but (wait for it)... the timer is still going!

  37. If you click reset again then the 'lap' indicator will disappear back to the
  38. void from whence it came and the timer will jump to whatever time it's
  39. currently timed and continue timing from there.

  41. Oh yes, there's a menu as well, you lucky people. It has an 'Info' window in
  42. case you forget the name of the program and 'Quit' in case your hand-eye
  43. coordination is so bad you can't hit the main window's close icon.

  45. As an added bonus, you can press CTRL-INSERT to toggle start/stop and you can
  46. also press SHIFT-INSERT for reset/lap. Isn't that nice?

  49. One last thing, a disclaimer-type thingy: StopClock is not your average
  50. atomic-type accurate to one thousandth of a millionth of a little bit of a
  51. second timer. Any damage, injuries, deaths, or freak time-warps caused by use
  52. or mis-use of StopClock is ALL YOUR OWN FAULT.
