  1. !ReadMe for Sound Samples Disc(s) as provided by
  2. Dragonrider (David Shepherdson) occasionally
  3. masquerading as Dragonrider Software or DR PD or
  4. whatever else as the mood takes me!

  6. !Sound RM is a little application which will allow
  7. you to listen to most Voice Modules from disc simply
  8. by dragging one to the little icon on the icon bar.
  9. !Sound RM is PD and as such may be freely copied and
  10. passed on but not at a profit.  PD Libraries may of
  11. course make a small charge for P&P and Media.
  12.  
  13. I accept no responsibility if it goes wrong and
  14. blows up your computer or wipes anything, it should
  15. not do so mind you, but if someone has been meddling
  16. then it's not my fault!

  18. Sound Samples have been sampled at 9900Hz by the
  19. Oak-Recorder using the new !SoundLab software.
  20.  
  21. Armadeus Samples saved from !SoundLab/!QuickSnd.
  22.  
  23. Modules created by either !SoundLab or !QuickSnd
  24.  
  25. Utilities created by !QuickSnd from Armadeus samples

  34. How to use Sound Samples:

  36. Armadeus Samples: Load into Armadeus, !SoundLab etc
  37.  
  38. Modules: *RMLoad <filename>
  39.          *ChannelVoice 1 <sample name>
  40.          SOUND 1,&17F,&1500,1
  41.  
  42. (If you have problems with weird or incorrect
  43. sounds try *TUNING 0 first)
  44.  
  45. If you have your volume set high but sounds are very
  46. faint, try adding SYS"Sound_Configure",1 (or 2,4,8)
  47. to your program.

  49. Utilities: From Desktop - Double Click on file icon
  50.            From Command Line (*) *run <filename>
  51.            From Basic Program *Run <filename>
