- For full use !Shortkey requires access to !FormEd or equivalent.
-
- Introduction
- ------------
-
- !Shortkey provides a means of a driving keyboard input from icons on the screen. The
- window design & keyboard substitutes are controlled by the template file. Selection
- of an appropriate icon will insert the relevant keys into the keyboard buffer.
-
- Supplied Template
- -----------------
-
- The supplied template is for Impression, it is not meant to be a definitive template,
- but just an example. Feel free to modify a COPY !!! of the template or create your own.
-
- Creating your Own Templates
- ---------------------------
-
- In order to create your own keyboard templates, you will need access to !FormED or
- equivalent. The following assumes that you have already familiarised yourself with
- creating Templates.
-
- To create your own templates.
-
- 1) Create a window called keys.
-
- 2) Create any Icons that you require to produce keystrokes.
-
- 3) In order for the icon to produce keystrokes, you must define it to be
- an Indirected icon. The validation string is the string that will be
- inserted into the keyboard. Note: The string is passed though GSTran.
- Keys is a text file that documents some of the GSTran values that
- may be used. The easiest, is to use the decimal value which you
- include within <> brackets i.e. F1 is <129>.
-
-
- Limitations
- -----------
-
- The following limitations apply to this release, they may well be lifted in
- a future release. ( The first thing is to see if it useful ).
-
- The template must contain less than 50 icons.
-
- An individual validation string must be < 256 characters.
-
-
- Own templates
- -------------
-
- You may distribute a copy of !ShortKey with your own template designs
- as long as the following points are observed.
-
- 1) Program credits are not changed. ( You can put your credits in the window )
