  1. This is Shader, nominally v0.01
  2. Written in May 1990 by RIWS

  4.   Shader is designed to run under the
  5. desktop, and to save Drawfiles of
  6. rectangular areas, shaded in as many
  7. colours as possible from one specified
  8. shade to another. This is for putting in
  9. the background on your latest
  10. masterpiece.
  11.  
  12.   To make it go, double click on the
  13. icon in the disc window, the click on
  14. the icon which will install on the icon
  15. bar. The 'Shaded Box' window will
  16. appear, showing that it wants to go from
  17. black to white.
  18.   To alter the colours it uses, click
  19. inside a number box, so that the caret
  20. appears there. Then, you could type in a
  21. new value on the scale 0-255, as normal,
  22. or click on the red up or down arrow to
  23. do it for you. The colours in the big
  24. boxes will change to show the nearest
  25. thing to your chosen colour in the
  26. current palette (ie. Go into mode 15 or
  27. 21 for more colours), and the three bars
  28. at the bottom should be updated
  29. correctly.
  30.   When you are happy, consider the scale
  31. setting (or leave it alone) and click on
  32. 'Make DrawFile'. This, by the way, saves
  33. to disc, not !Draw.
