- and drag a tape into the tape deck icon in the main control panel!
- Uses very little poll time
- Loads fairly quickly as well...
- Pop-up when a new song is loaded to tell you what it is.
- (Cleverly, it doesn't pop up at the start if a tune is already
- loaded)
- Seeing as !QTMPlay can't do this, I'd better mention it... is smart
- enough to know if a tune is already playing when loaded and to set
- itself up accordingly.
- A mega (who uses words like that, anyway?) stylish interface
- Nice hi-rez icons for you people with multisync monitors.
- Context sensitive help (in pretty slabbed boxes if you use Hiper
- help)

- Doesn't store tunes that it doesn't know the filename for
- Converts ArcTracker tunes
- Can, but won't (because QTM doesn't support it) convert
- 8-channel tunes
- Asks confirmation only if double-clicked on (conversion
- is automatic if from the playlist)
- Is ultrafast (i.e. written in ARM code)
- Puts the author's name in
- Plays audio CDs
- No anoraks in sight. (That's probably put Bland right off)
- Features as in boogs
- Ummm... Errr... Wot's 'at then?
- (Haha! I am the king of bugfreedom. Honest. No really. LOOK. When I use it
- there aren't any bugs. You obviously aren't good enough. Please don't hit
- me ;) <- bugged smiley? Oh shut up.
- Features as in QTM 'undocumented boogs'
- Found it this time. It's the TSS! If you have it switched on, it
- occasionally hangs. (You can calculate this hang factor by taking
- the time, in hours, since you last saved your work. This gives it
- as a conventional probability. If the time is >1 hour, then it still
- gives a conventional probability - just the chance of hanging is
- beyond certainty <although, come to think of it, if you haven't
- saved your work for >1 hour, then your computer is guaranteed to hang
- the instant you press F3.)
-
- Still to be done
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Ummm...
-
- That's about it.
-
- If anyone has a tune player (not editor or DTP package) with more features
- then tell me and I'll add a few hundred more to !QTM. If you don't believe
- me, look at QTM v0.02...
-
- Right. This should make QTM v1.03 the Ultimate tune player front-end, with a
- capital U. If you think it should be lower case, then write to me, and I'll
- make sure you are satisfied that it should be upper case.
-
- If you like the interface, then email me, and I'll probably be in such a good
- mood that someone appreciates me for once that I'll let you know how it's
- done and mebbe (speeling chooka erra) even send you some of the original
- QTM drawfiles from which the interface was created.
-
- Finally, a quote from Bland.
-
- >One day programmers will rule the WORLD!
- >
- >Well, maybe.
-
- (If you don't believe me, e-mail him and look at his sig)
- Somehow I don't think so. I know of the invasion of pink furry things (cute
- variety) from Aldebaren 6. They will come down and enslave all the
- politicians. Then they will make them all VERY UNPOPULAR (key phrase). Then
- nobody will ever win an election, and in the ensuing chaos they'll sneak in
- and take control.
-
- Hmmm... They didn't reckon on dictatorships, did they?
