  3. !Ibrowse is a browser for gnu Info files.
  4.  
  5. This version includes Info files for the Python library.
  6.  
  7. !Ibrowse requires the filer to have seen the !Python application.
  8. It requires the toolbox modules to run.
  9.  
  10. The main info reader files are part of the Python distribution.
  11. This has been supplied with a toolbox front end.
  12.  
  13. Note that the Info file supplied on Ibrowse itself is for the command line
  14. version. The keyboard commands that it supplies are not supported by !Ibrowse.

  17. Operation of !Ibrowse
  18.  
  19. Click on the iconbar icon to bring up a window with the directory node.
  20.  
  21. This node can be returned to with the [Dir] button.
  22.  
  23. The [Next] [Prev] [Up] and [Last] buttons move around the info tree.
  24.  
  25. A list of menu nodes can be found on the first menu button, select these to
  26. move as required.
  27.  
  28. A node can be reached by clicking [Move] with its name in the writable icon.
  29. Nodes are named "name" or "(file)".
  30.  
  31. A string in a file can be searched for by clicking [Find] with the string
  32. in the writeable icon.

  34. If the node has footnotes these are accessible rom the second menu button.

  36. The [Clone] button produces a second window showing the same node.

  39. Adding new info files

  41. Place the files in !Ibrowse.files

  43. Add a link to the top file in the !Ibrowse.files.DIR file.
