  6. This application directory contains two major parts:
  7.

  9. (I)  !DosFS.DosFS
  10.  
  11. !DosFS implements a filing system, able to read and write RSDOS (i.e.
  12. MSDOS and Atari ST compatible) discs (at present from drive 0 only).
  13. For full info, please read the file ReadMe1.
  14.  
  15. - To use DosFS from the filer, double click on the !DosFS icon.
  16. - To use DosFS outside the desktop, just RMLoad the DosFS module only.

  18. Filename convention: Use RISC OS type file names and use "_" instead
  19. of "." used by DOS to separate file name and extension
  20.  
  21. Examples:
  22. CONFIG.SYS  is called CONFIG_SYS  (full path dosfs:$.CONFIG_SYS)
  23. DOC\READ.ME is called DOC.READ_ME (full path dosfs:$.DOC.READ_ME)
  24. (\, the root directory, is called $.)

  27. (II) !DosFS.Filer2
  28.  
  29. The Filer version 2 supports file conversion from DOS to RiscOS
  30. and back. Instead of copying directly to and from the DosFS filer
  31. window, drop one or more files on the transfer icon, next to the
  32. floppy disc icon. A window is opened and it is possible to enter
  33. various options (sometimes overruled by auto selection). Drag the file
  34. icon in this window to the destination. See the file Readme2 for full
  35. info.
