- !DiskLib is an application made by Chris Payne who got fed up of losing his
- files on hundreds of different disks.
- It is designed to keep count of various disks - providing information on all
- of them and allowing a description to be recorded on each one.
- It also allows various printed lists to be made.
- It is multi-tasking and once loaded there are various options to use:
-
- "Next Disk" allows a disk in the current drive to be examined and to have its
- data stored in memory - shown in the window.
- "Drive" allows you to set the current disk drive.
- "Search" looks for a disk name or file name currently in memory - once found
- it will automatically appear in the window.
- "Swap" swaps disks records 'from' and 'to' different locations.
- "Delete" deletes a disk record.
- "Print" allows you to print either a list of disks with various information
- or a list of applications or a list of files with various information.
- This option was designed for an Epson LQ-500 printer using VDU
- commmands and therefore may need to be altered for other printers for
- example the underline routine (PROCu) in the BASIC file !RunImage.
- "Load" loads a previously saved file of disk records from the "Library"
- directory in !DiskLib.
- "Save" saves a file of disk records to the "Library" directory in !DiskLib.
- Also it saves 3 text files (in the "Library" directory that the print
- options produce - this may be especially useful for users having
- trouble with the "Print" options - instead they could print the text
- files using !PrinterDM on the applications disk.
-
- Information on a disk or file can be entered in the 'box' under "Description"
- at the top or "Description" at the bottom respectively.
- The number of disks that can be held in memory (and saved as 1 file) is 150
- though this can be altered by:
-
- 1) Increase the value of "num%" in line 150 of the BASIC file !RunImage.
-
- This program may be distributed freely so long as this !Help file is copied
- with it.
- In no way can the programmer of !DiskLib be held reponsible for any damages
- that may occur.
- Any further suggestions can be mailed to Chris Payne at Cryton or Arcade
- BBSs.
